AVLS Members make a significant impact on the study and treatment of venous and lymphatic disease. For those members who want to be more involved in advancing the field of vein and lymphatic care, the AVLS offers these Premier and Special Interest Memberships.
Fellows of the American Vein & Lymphatic Society (FACPh) are recognized for their substantial commitment and contribution to the specialty of phlebology. Premier Active Members can apply for this level of membership.
Honorary memberships of the AVLS are presented to those who have made outstanding contributions to the field of phlebology. Candidates are recommended by the Awards Committee and nominated by our Executive Committee. The entire AVLS Board votes on the nominee, and the award is presented at the Annual Congress.
Special Interest Sections
Special Interest Sections were created to give members the opportunity to network with members who have like interests and/or similar job responsibilities. All Special Interest sections are free. All AVLS members who have an interest in vein care nursing can join this free section to receive news, treatment information and networking opportunities specific to nursing. The Nursing Section focuses on advancing the art and science of nursing within the field of phlebology, and provides a forum for members interested in the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease, as well as the delivery of nursing care to the public.
All AVLS members who have an interest in ultrasonography can join this free section to receive news, treatment information and networking opportunities specific to ultrasonography. The Ultrasonography Section provides a forum for members interested in ultrasound as it relates to venous and lymphatic disease. It focuses on improving the delivery of ultrasonography care to the public.
Advanced Practice Nurse and Physician Assistant Section
Open to all members who have an interest in the roles of the Advanced Practice Nurse and Physician Assistant in a phlebology practice can join this free section to receive news, treatment information and networking opportunities specific to advance practice nursing and physician assistants. This section works with members to improve their understanding of diagnosis and treatment in our specialty, as well as advance vein care with increased knowledge and best practices and standards.
