Endovenous Heat Induced Thrombosis (EHIT) Following Radiofrequency Ablation of the Small Saphenous Vein [Case of the Month] (CASE15-02)

Activity Description

This activity is designed to familiarize participants with the identification, classification, and management of endovenous heat induced thrombosis (EHIT).

Steps to successfully completing this activity:

To participate in this educational activity, please follow the steps listed below. 

If you are new to the ACP Online Education Center we require that you register prior to viewing any activity. Click the Log in button (upper right hand corner of your screen) which will take you to your profile. Enter new information required for the Online Education Center.

Step 1:  Click the "Take Course" icon below

Step 2: Click the "CME Information " icon.  Read the provided information and then click "Got to Next Step" to advance to the Case Vignette Part I.

Step 3:  Read the provided information about the case and click "Attempt quiz now" to answer the question posed.  Answer the question and click "Submit all and finish".  Then, scroll down and click "Go to Next Step" to advance to the Pre-Test.

Step 4:  Click "Attempt quiz now" to take the Pre-Test.  Answer all the questions and click "Submit all and finish".  Then, click "Got to Next Step" to proceed to Case Vignette Part II.

Step 5:  Read the provided information about the case and click "Attempt quiz now" to answer the question posed.  Answer the question and click "Submit all and finish".  Then, scroll down and click "Go to Next Step" to advance to Case Vignette Part III.

Step 6:  Read the provided information about the case and click "Attempt quiz now" to answer the question posed.  Answer the question and click "Submit all and finish".  Then, scroll down and click "Go to Next Step" to advance to the case discussion.

Step 7:  Review the provided information and click "Go to Next Step" to advance to the Post-Test.

Step 8:  Click "Attempt quiz now" to answer the test questions.  Then, click "Submit all and finish".  You are allowed three attempts to answer at least 80% of questions correctly, which is required to move on in the activity.  Once that threshhold has been met click "Go to Next Step" tro compare your Pre- and Post-Test results.  Finally, click "Go to Next Step".

Step 9:  Complete the activity evaluation and click "Submit questionnaire" to download your certificate.

Learning objectives
