Statement of Purpose:
This committee is responsible for the oversight and direction of advisory committees that create, provide, and/or maintain advocacy type activities on behalf of the College. Advocacy activities are described in the ACP’s Strategic Plan. Advisory Committees assigned to the Advocacy Standing Committee and their statements of purpose are shown below.

International Affairs

Statement of Purpose:
The International Affairs advisory committee reports directly to the Advocacy Standing Committee and is responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with phlebological societies who are members of the International Union of Phlebology outside of the United States. They are tasked with providing the Board of Directors and the membership of the College with information that is of interest about the activities of UIP member societies.

Speakers’ Bureau

Statement of Purpose:
The Speakers’ Bureau advisory committee reports directly to the Advocacy Standing Committee and is responsible for establishing a process and procedure for the administration and implementation of the speakers’ bureau program. This involves the identification and solicitation of venues where the presentations will be given as well as to identify and recommend appropriate qualified speakers to serve as representatives of the ACP.

VeinLine Newsletter

Statement of Purpose:
The VeinLine Newsletter advisory committee reports directly to the Advocacy Standing Committee and is responsible for providing a vehicle to present, exchange, and disseminate information about the activities and accomplishments of the College as well as scientific papers and information as it relates to the field of phlebology.

Specialty Recognition

Statement of Purpose:
The specialty recognition advisory committee reports directly to the Advocacy Standing Committee, and is tasked with increasing the recognition and awareness of phlebology in public and medical arenas, as well as other health-related organizations (state and federal agencies, insurance companies, etc.).

Exhibitor Advisory

Statement of Purpose:
The Exhibitor Advisory committee reports directly to the Advocacy Standing Committee and is responsible for acting as an intermediary between the ACP and its industrial exhibitors. They are tasked with making recommendations to ACP headquarters regarding potential new exhibitors as well as developing policies and practices to increase and enhance the exhibiting experience at the ACP educational meetings.

Phlebology Forum

Statement of Purpose:
The Phlebology Forum Advisory Committee reports to the Advocacy Standing Committee and is responsible for the production of the “Phlebology Forum” a bi-monthly digital publication that reviews published articles that are of interest to the ACP Membership. All Associate Editors and Reviewers are appointed by the Chair of the Committee.
