Physician-in-Training Scholarship
UPDATE: There has been an extremely great response to this program and all 40 scholarships have been awarded.
Through funding provided by the ACP Foundation, the ACP is offering up to forty scholarships to residents, fellows and junior faculty members. The award, up to $1500, can be used for meeting-related expenses (including registration fees, airfare, hotels, ground transportation, and meals) at the College's Annual Pre-Congress and Congress meetings.
The award also includes a one-year "Member-In-Training" membership option which allows scholarship recipients to continue to receive exposure to phlebology after the Congress through subscriptions to Phlebology, Venous Digest, and VeinLine; access to the printed and online Membership Directory; and increased networking opportunities available in the ACP membership.
Eligible candidates include residents in ACGME-approved or AOA-approved residency programs, post-doctoral fellows, and junior faculty members in the first two years of appointment.
Travel Scholarship for International Applicants
The purpose of this award is to help individuals from outside the United States travel to study and learn additional phlebological techniques and procedures with their colleagues at the ACP Annual Congress.
Both International Members and Non-Members can apply.
The $2,500 (USD) award would help defray travel, accommodation, and registration costs.
Applicants cannot have previously attended the ACP Congress or other ACP activities.
"The ACP conference gave me the opportunity to see many techniques and advances in vein care that I would not have been exposed to any other way. I gained a new appreciation for the complexities of the disease processes and related patient care."
