  • Create a webinar or online program to educate and assist members in doing good research, including information on statistics, how to obtain IRB approval, etc.
  • Update the existing speaker bureau talk.
  • Proactively monitor insurance policy changes and develop mechanism to advocate for change.
  • Develop a Patient Education Brochure (or document) to explain to patients about Insurance processes and procedures (co-pays, deductibles, etc.)

  • Create a lecture, webinar or online program on tips for developing a great lecture
  • Create a program to foster opportunities to help underserved communities in the U.S. gain access to free care for venous disease or specifically venous ulcers (like international medical missions – but here in the U.S.)
  • Create a packet of information for members to use in communicating with insurance companies about coverage – this would include evidence-based data on the natural history of venous disease, treatment options, relevance of duplex findings, etc.
  • Create a white paper on documentation practices to avoid insurance audits and reviews
  • Create a series of patient education videos to display in phlebology offices
