ACP Member Services Manager
Since the middle of February, the American College of Phlebology (ACP) has been an exhibitor at four recent conferences: The American Venous Forum (AVF), the American Association of Dermatologists (AAD), the Venous Symposium (VS), and the International Vein Congress (IVC). As the largest American association dedicated to advancing vein care, the ACP places the highest priority on the needs of its members. Exhibiting at these conferences allows us the opportunity to meet with current and prospective members face-to-face, and understand their concerns.
As the ACP’s Membership Services Manager, part of my role is to answer questions that can range from annual membership dues to the ACP’s position on the Novitas LCD and much more in-between. In addition, our attendance at the AAD’s 75th Annual Conference was a first for us. We wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to reach out to dermatologists who plan to incorporate deeper vein treatments into their practice.
At each of these meetings, I also had the pleasure to meet and speak with those in industry to learn about the opportunities and challenges that vein specialists face on a regular basis. Learning about current trends allows me to determine what resources the ACP has available to assist members in their success. Lastly, and certainly not least, I have a chance to meet our wonderful members as well as recruit members to make our organization even stronger.
June will find the ACP on the move once again! You can stop by the ACP booth to say “Hello!” at the Society of Vascular Surgery Meeting, June 1 – 3, 2017 in San Diego. Additionally, we will be at the American Medical Association’s Specialty Showcase on June 10th in Chicago to engage with medical students in all years of training and encourage them to actively participate in the field of vein care.
Of course, you don’t have to wait until you see us at a meeting to have your questions answered. You can call us at (510) 346-6800 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we are happy to assist!
