Advisory Guidelines Operations Scientific

Statement of Purpose:
This committee is responsible for the oversight and direction of advisory committees that are either operational in nature or are in varying stages of developing programs and initiatives based on any approved directives of the Board of Directors. Advisory Committees assigned to the Operations and Development Standing Committee and their statements of purpose are shown below:

Research Programs Advisory

Statement of Purpose:
The Research Programs advisory committee reports directly to the Research Standing Committee and is responsible for developing and recommending potential projects or research programs in the field of phlebology. In addition they will be responsible for review and selection of recipients of defined and approved research programs of the College.

Guidelines Committee

Statement of Purpose:
The ACP Guidelines Advisory committee oversees the development of standards of practice and/or clinical practice guidelines that will improve the care for patients with venous and lymphatic disorders. The committee recommends the creation of new standards and guidelines as appropriate, identifies experts to write the standards, and makes recommendations to the ACP Board for endorsement of these standards and guidelines.

ACP Pro Venous Registry Scientific Committee

Statement of Purpose:
The ACP Pro Venous Registry Scientific Committee will: review registry requests for scientific merit; propose additional fields to be added to the registry as specialty specific needs are identified; collaborate with other societies with mutual interests to address specific needs using data; and suggest authors for data driven projects in need of publication
